It's another rainy day in northern California, so perfect for painting; we covered a lot of territory today in JoSonja's class.
We started the morning with the soft border of birds and leaves on the Garden of the Golden Finches plate, using a brush that I don't know how I missed--#5 Kolinsky Long Pointed Round. That's a really nice brush--makes nice one-stroke leaves and has a great point. In the afternoon we sketched a bit, focusing on trumpet-type flowers, and then began both the red and yellow roses. Immediately following the afternoon break--we began and completely based in the Tea Box floral and vase. It was all toned with Provincial Beige and looks lovely already.
